Software Express are a UK company located in the North of England, in the historic city of Durham, close to its 900 year old Cathedral. We are an established software development company, specialising in providing user-friendly software solutions.

Recently we have focused our experience upon developing GUIDE, an innovative new software package, designed to enable a wider population of blind and partially-sighted computer-users to become computer literate. GUIDE is an integrated computer package which combines word-processing, sending emails, surfing the web, scanning and reading books and documents and many other useful functions, with an easy-to-use and easy-to-learn format.

Current users, many of whom were previously unable to use computer technology, have been impressed with how quickly they were able to use their computer productively when using Guide. This applied to both blind and partially-sighted users, since Guide can also magnify text on the screen, as well has having its own in-built human-sounding voice to read out text.
